Access Your Locked Files to Delete Them with Unlocker

If you’ve ever been unable to delete a file in Windows, and can’t figure out what program’s using it, Unlocker is the solution. Have you ever seen these Windows error messages?

  • Cannot delete folder: It is being used by another person or program
  • Cannot delete file: Access is denied
  • There has been a sharing violation.
  • The source or destination file may be in use.
  • The file is in use by another program or user.
  • Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.


Unlocker can help! Simply right-click the folder or file and select Unlocker. If the folder or file is locked, a window listing of lockers will appear.

  1. Wish it has batch rename files features because I have tons of this same issue for ages. Why is it windows always make our task a bit harder.

  2. unlocker is incomparable when it comes to unlocking files, but seems like its not for windows 7

  3. I don’t mind unlocking files on an OS 9 volume using “Get Info”, but I find it really aggrivating to do this for a folder with more than five files. I frequently have thirty or more files that that are all locked, and it gets really annoying.

    This tool can be very useful. Looks like I no more need to kill the running process from task manager, restart Windows or try in Safe mode to be able to do this!
